Air in G offers a diverse programme of high quality arts events to mainly rural communities throughout Gloucestershire through our touring scheme and other initiatives. Working with village based promoters, we offer a financial safety net that enables them to access a range of affordable arts events for their local community while at the same time providing the opportunity for talented artists to experience performing to a wide range of hard to reach audiences in unusual spaces and places.

National research shows that rural touring reaches many people who do not otherwise engage with the arts and in so doing it contributes "social glue" to community life while providing valuable outlets for work and the creative development of artists. AIR in G's approach to rural touring empowers and supports a unique network of local promoters and truly offers a model of good practice and real value for money in the contemporary arts world.

We know that the communities we work with become stronger as a result of our work. We give volunteers the support and tools they need to become confident local promoters and our 2012 survey indicated that after volunteering with AIR in G people were three times more likely to volunteer for other causes within their local community. AIR in G provides a valuable community service that brings people together in often otherwise socially isolated situations.
