Arts Together is an award winning charity which improves the health, well-being and quality of life for isolated older people through the provision of a range of participatory arts projects. For over 12 years we have been bringing professional artists and older people together for weekly arts workshops, creative activities and cultural events. Through its creative approach Arts Together plays an important role in countering loneliness and isolation, and enhancing the well-being of older people.

Independent research and evidence gathered demonstrates that Arts Together is an effective and valuable resource for older people. Growing older brings change and loss through bereavement, retirement, moving home, temporary hospitalisation or decreased physical and mental capacity, which may in turn bring loneliness and social exclusion. Participation in creative and social activities offered by Arts Together can counteract some of the negative effects of ageing, isolation and social exclusion.
