Aspire create jobs, training and work placements for people living on the margins of society. We provide the opportunity to work in real business environments with full support so trainees can develop their personal and professional skills and capabilities. We offer experience in gardening and horticulture, materials and clothes recycling, furniture removals and upcycling, general and online selling alongside removals, clearance and maintainance work in addition to work placements with partners.
Why the community needs usAspire's beneficiaries are our trainees, with 30 to 40 working on our enterprises at any one time. These remarkable men and woman are living proof that the past does not have to determine the future. Aspire trainees are leaving homelessness, active drug and alcohol addictions, long term unemployment, criminal offending, abusive relationships and dependency on welfare benefits behind them, improving their own lives and the lives of everyone they meet. Hope, change and success.
Our impact on the communityAspire measure success in so many ways - an individual job well done, a parent back in touch with their children, a first pay cheque, a promotion, keeping safe, clean and sober when life is stressful. We also maintain a database of trainee's achievement's - qualifications achieved, jobs applied for, interviews attended and, best of all, secured. In 2011 78 Aspire trainees moved into paid employment in both full time and part time roles - this and the happiness it brings is our true success
