We run a drop-in cafe in Leek town centre providing a safe, welcoming place where less-advantaged, vulnerable teenagers can socialise off the streets and enjoy activities, support and advice from trained youth workers. We have a café/kitchen plus TV/media facilities, a pool table, and sofas and other comfortable seating at our rented base. Our activities, two evenings a week, positively engage our young people. They range from games sessions and cooking skills workshops to school holiday events.

Why the community needs us

We provide healthy diversionary activity including weekly 5-a-side football sessions and informal basic life-skills training aimed at instilling good community values in our target group. This reduces anti-social behaviour by providing something positive to do and increases their self-confidence.We work closely with our young people enabling them to deal with issues, so reducing demands on statutory bodies such as the Police. We work to build a safer, more cohesive and confident local community
