Our intention is to let autistic and neurodiverse people know that they're valuable members of society, that they do belong somewhere & that they're never alone. We therefore use an upbeat & proactive approach via our website, blog & extensive social media platforms which helps raise self-esteem & self-confidence in autistic children & adults, their families & friends. Meanwhile, we work tirelessly behind the scenes supporting vulnerable autistic people & their families who are living in poverty, struggling with mental health problems, dealing with addictions or escaping domestic violence.
Why the community needs us
We help the most desperate & vulnerable in our community as described above, & hold hugely popular inclusive events which bring people of all ages & abilities together in safe, welcoming environments. Our social media community & blog provide advice & information in a positive, upbeat way, & are backed up by online counselling & individual mentoring. We also offer local special needs families the much-needed opportunity to enjoy time with their loved ones at our free film & theatre clubs.
Our impact on the community
Since we were founded in 2010 we've worked tirelessly to support autistic people & their loved ones. We've helped local families in crisis, enabled autistic adults to receive a diagnosis, supported countless parents by giving them hope for their children's future, & offered a safe, welcoming environment both online & at our events, where everyone is truly accepted & empowered. We've shared endless smiles with those who need them most & with your help we plan to continue this long into the future.
