We support young people from less advantaged backgrounds to pursue their professional aspirations.
We are a Bristol-based social enterprise that sets out to support young people (16-25) from less advantaged backgrounds with their professional aspirations. Our team believes that every young person has unique skills or talent, which, if explored and nurtured, adds value to society. Our unique development programme consists of work-focused skills training, career-orientated events and professional mentoring schemes.
Why the community needs usSince 2010, we have empowered many unemployed local residents as volunteers; representatives from local businesses as mentors; and offered corporations and public agencies the opportunity to engage in meaningful corporate social responsibility activities through our programme. The culmination of these activities has enabled us to support many aspiring young people to progress into work, further education and self employment.
Our impact on the communityAs at February 2020, Babbasa has been able to support over 2,000 young people to gain new workplace knowledge and self-confidence through Babbasa training activities. We have won numerous community awards, including the MTM Best Community Organisation award, while our CEO, Poku Osei was offered an honorary invitation to visit the Queen.
