The cultural heart of the community with a commitment to inspire, engage and entertain.
A multi-purpose arts and entertainment centre, which provides a year round programme of live performance, film, exhibitions and participatory activities for all ages. Bridport Arts Centre is the home of the international creative writing competition, the Bridport Prize, and runs two festivals - the Bridport Open Book Festival and From Page to Screen Film Festival. The centre is revenue funded by Arts Council England South West, West Dorset District Council and Bridport Town Council.
Why the community needs usBridport Arts Centre provides opportunities for people to experience and engage in a huge range of creative activity. We support local artists and companies, both amateur and professional, and bring in high quality work from around the country that wouldn't otherwise be available locally. Our learning programme enables participation in the arts and supports creative development for people of all ages.
Our impact on the community
We are always looking for volunteer stewards for both our theatre and gallery.
