A friendly welcome awaits players of all ages and abilities at Badshot Lea Tennis Club (BLTC)
We are a lively and sociable club, with opportunities for both social and competitive play.
With 2 all-weather hard courts, both with floodlights, we are able to offer all year round play to our members and the wider community wishing to enjoy the sport. We are a registered LTA (Lawn Tennis Association) Venue and have a LTA Level 3 coach, providing both junior and adult coaching programmes.
We are currently fundraising to landscape the area around the recently refurbished clubhouse.
To complete the new look for the Tennis Club, a landscaping project has been launched. This is to improve the area surrounding the Clubhouse making the surface weed resistance and an even surface.
The tennis club has been surrounded on two sides over the last couple of years by housing developments. The local residents using the recreation ground next to the club have commented on the unkept area surrounding the clubhouse and the need to make improvements. It is currently not wheelchair friendly with various levels and many weeds. The Club would like to landscape and make on one level. It would be a better environment for visitors and supporters in the community. A smart area with some planted tubs. The installation of cycle stands will also help those many members cycling to the club. The improvement continues the clubs green credentials.
Fundraising
BLTC have been actively fundraising and currently face a shortfall of £2,500 to complete the overall project.
We have applied for Grants and have received some small donations towards the project. To everyone who has supported this project so far, a big THANK YOU.
This is the final push, so that we can complete the whole project and enable more people to access and enjoy tennis for many years to come.
