Established in 1972 has grown steadily to its position of today as one of the largest youth football clubs in the west of Scotland. 2009 saw the name change to Barrhead Youth Football Club in line with being registered as a Scottish Charity ( Charity No SC040946 ). With 27 teams from under 7's up through to our newly formed amateur team, we have approximately 450 players being supported by over 80 coaches. In 2008, the club was recognized by The SFA by achieving The Quality Mark Award.

It gives the local boys and girls the opportunity to socialize, make friends, exercise and realize potential within a fun, safe environment.The project involves both boys and girls of every creed and religion and as such promotes inclusion and acceptance of others in a sporting environment.One of the main focus of our club is fitness, ensuring the youth have an effective and efficient opportunity to exercise playing a sport they love.

We never turn away children, we include all at every level and have a structure within the club to ensure all players and benefit training and playing at an appropriate level.
