We repair things for free and run a Library - but of Things - that we don't use often like tools
The aim of BSR is to work towards a more sustainable future; create opportunities and build awareness of, how individuals and the community can: share resources, repair items and how to retain items longer to reduce buying. This will in turn reduce manufacturing, carbon emissions and the amount of waste into landfill. In doing so we promote the health and well-being of residents of the area and increase social interaction and inclusion by providing a community-led facility
Why the community needs usWe bring people together in a social setting and help people save money, space and the environment. We give people the opportunity to be a volunteer and use their skills to help others. It's rewarding and fun. We also help people who have difficulties in a variety of ways. Generally we mend over 70% of the items brought to us which we are very proud of, as we have no idea what people will bring.
