Beyond Youth addresses the increase in offending and anti-social behaviour. Our projects deal with the rise in levels of offending violence and the consequences of this. In 2004 Emma Morris developed and piloted the Chance 2 Change programme with Chelmsford Youth Offending Team. It produced a 100% success rate. From here Emma has stuck to her belief that our environment causes our behaviour and that with the right care, those learnt behaviours can be unlearnt and replaced with positive ones.

Our mission is to provide a service of excellence through promoting positive interaction and building constructive relationships; and equip participants with the tools and understanding needed to lead law-abiding lives in the community. We aim to provide hope for the future by empowering offenders in positive decision making, building self-belief and encouraging all those involved to accept their social responsibility to create safer, stronger communities.

Our results show a non re-offending rate of 77%. Chance 2 Change has proven effectiveness in a variety of settings including; Pupil Referral Units, Youth Clubs, Youth Offending Teams, Care Homes and in both Prisons and Young Offenders Institutions. Chance 2 Change offers a unique programme which is tailored around the needs of the participant, allowing ownership and identity.
