The Birdhouse Fund is aimed at women over 16 years of age in Greater Manchester who are in need of a small amount of money to help them overcome an obstacle that keeps them from following their dreams, or supports them at a time of great stress. It might be to help make a new home after fleeing domestic violence, to embark on a training course to build a career, or even to set up a new group that will support other women moving forward. We recognise a little goes a long way.

There are thousands of women across Greater Manchester who are in desperate need of just a little bit of help to get them on their feet, and start improving their lives. Our grants of up to £500 are easy to apply for and can make a massive difference to women who are just need a little help to step up in life.

Our funding has helped women get back to work through new training, created homes out of soul-less accommodation provided when fleeing domestic violence, helped with equipment for developing new skills and has given opportunities to women who previously thought none were availabe.
