Blooming Blossoms Trust supports children with additional needs and disabilities. Like, all other kids, these children need a safe space to play, laugh and create friendships and access tools to reach their potential. We appreciate that all children can blossom like flowers; some just need a very unique and nurturing climate so that they can grow.
In the UK, there is approximately one learning disabled child in every twenty, yet the majority of families that we work with report feeling like they are alone in their journey. We exists to reduce this isolation and to ensure that families get the support that they need in order to support their disabled children fully. We support the whole family including parents, carers, the child with additional needs as well as the siblings.
We offer an after therapy centre (Happy Haven) giving disabled children access to free remedial support and educational therapies in a variety of modalities, such as, OT, Music, Drama, art, Speech and Language, Play therapy. Without Blossoms, the financial and social barriers would be too thick and steep, preventing children in need, from accessing the therapeutic support they deserve.
