The aim of Bradford PHAB is to promote and encourage people of all abilities to come together on equal terms. We have a large group of children and young people both with and without disabilities and we provide a wide range of activities for them to access. The participants are transported to and from the club each week. We also provide supervision and support to the children and young people and offer a break from everyday life with a chance to mix with and make new friends
Why the community needs usTo bring together members of the local community with young people from all walks of life including those with disabilities and different locations in Bradford. To provide a setting in which physically disabled and able bodied children and young people can mix and develop understanding. To work with partners, from both voluntary and non-voluntary organisations in providing activities for children and young people and to provide regular, social, fun and educational experiences for children
Our impact on the communityPeople with disabilities have enormous potential. They want to play a part in society, to make a contribution, but too often they are held back by the negative attitudes of others and or a lack of opportunity to enable them to participate. We aim to create a society where people with disabilities have the same opportunities to pursue their dreams and make as meaningful a contribution to their commitments as everybody else.People with disabilities have enormous potential.
