Changing the world one baby at a time. Supporting vulnerable babies and their families in the critical first three years of life.
BrightPIP (Brighton PIP Ltd) works with vulnerable babies, aged 0-3 and their families. We work to reach every baby we can - to provide free access to parent infant therapeutic support. Our mission is for every baby to feel safe, secure and loved. Our interventions include Mellow Bumps and Infant Massage (groups for vulnerable parents to be), Video Interaction Guidance, Parent Infant Psychotherapy and Attachment and Biobehavioural Catch-up for individual babies and families.
BrightPIP was founded on the principle that young families are the biggest investment we can ever make for future society. Babies and their parents need to be recognised, raised up, valued and cherished. We need to start at the beginning so that we can help families when it matters most. Research has established that what happens aged 0-3 in terms of brain development lays the foundation for later social, emotional and cognitive development.
Families tell us that we have made a massive difference in their lives and colleagues in the NHS urge us to keep on providing this work for families.
Families:
‘Just that it was amazing, and I feel like (clinician) really saved my life. I’m just so grateful that she helped me’ ‘So much has changed. I feel like I am better able to make sense of things, and my own feelings. Just being given that emotional support, and preparation made such a difference.’
Referrers (Health Visitors, Midwives and GP's): '
It is an excellent much needed service. The therapists are very supportive and the women I refer feel that they can open up much more'
We rely on donations and charitable funding to do our essential work. Please help us support more vulnerable babies and their families.
