Changing lives through prevention — keeping young people connected, supported, and moving towards a positive future.
We support young people aged 13–25, and their families, who face the root causes of youth homelessness — including poor mental health, family breakdown, and risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training).
Based in Banbury, we work across North Oxfordshire and nearby areas, providing free, confidential, and practical support. Referrals to our Mental Health or NEET services can be made online at byhp.org.uk.
Mental HealthMental health struggles can have a serious impact on young people’s relationships, education and employment — often key factors in homelessness risk.
Our trained team provides long-term counselling, one-to-one therapeutic interventions and self-management tools, tailored to challenges such as anxiety, low self-esteem, self-harm and trauma.
All counsellors are members of professional bodies such as BACP.

Family conflict is one of the most common reasons young people leave home.
Our confidential mediation service helps families improve communication, rebuild trust and avoid crisis. The service follows a seven-stage model and can run alongside individual support when needed.

Being out of education or work can limit opportunity and increase homelessness risk.
We provide one-to-one mentoring to build confidence, encourage school or college attendance, and help young people access training, volunteering or employment.

While we don’t offer accommodation, we help young people access housing advice, complete forms, and contact local services.
For those in urgent need, we also provide practical help such as food parcels, tents or sleeping bags where appropriate.
