Our Mission is to help people solve the problems they face from our centres in Halifax, Elland, Hebden Bridge and Todmorden, and through outreach locations across the district. We have a large team of committed staff and volunteers providing assistance to our clients in Debt, Benefits, Housing, Employment and Consumer advice.

Calderdale CAB exists as an organisation to improve the wellbeing of people in Calderdale through the provision of advice and information that enables people to understand and exercise their rights. We improve the quality of life for people in Calderdale by increasing household income and reducing anxiety in households by helping people deal with the complexities of life in our society.

We have a track record of delivering advice to our community, having helped 25% of the adult community of Calderdale at some point in the last 5 years. The impact of our work has been independently assessed by the University of Salford who estimate that the £700k that was invested in our service in 2009/10 delivered over £7,000,000 of economic benefit to the local economy. Our outcomes include people keeping their homes, staying or becoming debt free and regaining their benefit entitlements.
