To work together for the purpose of overcoming ignorance, fear and misunderstanding between the various faith and those of secular persuasion communities in Calderdale. To enable us to move with greater confidence in our partnerships and contacts with faith communities. To promote greater understanding of the positive role that faiths and faith communities can play in shaping our society. To maintain an environment of dignity for all in social interaction.

Calderdale Interfaith Council provides a platform and opportunities to the community to actively live in a peaceful, harmonious and healthy environment with better understanding of different cultures and faiths through its activities such as meetings, annual celebration event,annual food festival, annual peace conference and faith leaders event, health advancement programmes and disadvantaged people programmes, interfaith dialogues and training programmes.

Integrated, Peaceful and harmonious society with better understanding of various communities.The interfaith council will continue to build on the work and support local communities to come together and share the heritage of their background/belief etc.
