Calderdale Pride aims to engage our local community with equality and diversity for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and transgendered through an annual event where everybody is welcome including friends, family and carers. While we are reducing stigma and isolation this would be making our community stronger as we work in partnership in our semi rural locality. The event will be held in a location in Calderdale that will need to be hired and appropriate insurance, making it assessable for all.

LGBT individuals and the wider community are encouraged to minimise exclusion, stigma, and hate crime. However we promote the equality and diversity for all within our community making a stronger community.

Calderdale Pride has developed and is wanting to expand from a one day event to provide more to the local community. The work we currently do is have an annual event which has been successful over the past three years which has attracted approximately 9000 people
