
Cancer Help is a local independent charity that was established in 1989 to support cancer patients in Lancashire.We offer free, confidential help and advice to all those affected by cancer- patients, carers, family and friends - through our two cancer support centres,Vine House in Preston and Croston House in Garstang.From the time of diagnosis our fully trained staff can address your needs and can provide help and advice on all aspects of cancer.
Why the community needs usWe aim to improve the quality of life of patients, carers and family by making a positive contribution to their lives through the provision of emotional, physical and social support. All our services are free of charge and available to anyone affected by cancer .
Our impact on the communityEach year we provide over 6000 patient visits and contacts, seeing over 600 new clients a year. "Lynda was diagnosed with cancer when she was 46. She found the craft groups at Cancer Help to be a welcome change to the clinical environment of hospital. So much so that following successful treatment Lynda became a volunteer".
