Cardiff Lions are part of a multi-national service organisation having over a million members world wide. Our primary role is to improve the lives of those around us both locally and globally. We do this either by fundraising and then donating to worthy causes through charities or directly to individuals.We also carry out service projects that bring about physical improvements to our community and environment. Our donations are mainly to local charities and individuals. Normally our donations are for specific items of equipment and services so that the organisation can see an immediate improvement or benefit. The recipients are often smaller charities and groups that may have difficulty in raising funds themselves owing to their lack of resources. We also try and donate to make long term improvements that give individuals a better chance of succeeding in our society and community.

We try and make donations on a monthly basis based on external submissions and our own research. Our donations cover a wide range of areas both in nature and value. We have recently donated to homeless charities to avoid street sleeping and to buy equipment for those that are visually and/or hearing impaired. We have supported charities that improve the lives of those that are physically and mentally deprived and we have enabled individuals to improve their life chances via extra training.
