The Centre for Capacity Building and Enterprise Development (CCBED) is a black led social enterprise operating from a diverse inner-city area in Bristol. Our aim is to help people improve their economic situations and into employment or start their own business. We work with migrants, asylum seekers and those in the local community from minority backgrounds.

We provide free accredited training and 1-to-1 mentoring to enable people to build their confidence and develop their skills and knowledge. There are many barriers some adults face when accessing the labour market, and we at CCBED create an environment where everyone can realise their full potential, regardless of their background and since we started we have supported over 400 adults.

Last year we helped over 80 asylum seekers and refugees to help improve their English with courses including ESOL and English Functional Skills, providing essential language skills to improve their situations and reach their goals.
