Cemaes Boat Club is a voluntary organisation dedicated to the care, maintenance, and promotion of the classic lifeboat, the Charles Henry Ashley. The CHA was a working lifeboat based on the north coast of Anglesey from 1907 that was de-commissioned in 1932. After restoration it was re-launched in 2009 and was sailed and rowed successfully on many occasions until final ‘retirement’ in 2024. The aim is now to create a suitable boathouse and visitors centre where Charles Henry Ashley can be viewed and used as a historical and educational attraction for visitors to Cemaes community.
