CHESS works to ensure that people who find themselves homeless in Essex are supported in ways that enable them to move forward purposefully and in good health.

 Why the community needs us
CHESS provides a service which helps rough sleepers, ensures safer streets, saves use of hospital beds, provides food, clothing, laundry, training, help with job search, accommodation, increased self esteem, love and kindness, counselling, healthy living, outdoor exercise and independent living.

Our impact on the community
CHESS delivers shelter for the homeless and offers help towards recovery and wider rehabilitation into society. Former alcohol dependent, penniless, socially excluded, homeless people find the ability to live life on life's terms.
