CLEAR seeks to improve the quality of life of refugees and people seeking asylum by providing advice, English classes, enrichment activities and supporting people to access local support and services.

We believe in empowerment through education and in practical action to support the settled and developing refugee communities. CLEAR has an established reputation within the city as an organisation working to support the human rights of its clients and to alleviate need and hardship.

Our impact on the community
Improving English language skills of clients enables independence and progression in education, it also ripples out into families and communities. By providing professional advice around housing, benefits, immigration or work, we empower people to access mainstream support and integrate into the local community, as well as sharing their knowledge with others and becoming contributing members of society. Volunteers and clients develop skills as a route to both social integration and to employment/education.
