Archery is a wonderful sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities, including those with disabilities. Cleddau Reach Archers are based at Glan y Mor Farm, adjacent to Pembroke School. They have a club night on Tuesday evenings for juniors and seniors. We promote Archery by providing lessons at local schools, farm open days, junior sports days and through club sessions. The club is also working towards PCC's InSport programme to make the sport more accessible for the disabled.

Why the community needs us

We provide opportunities for young people and adults of all abilities, including those with disabilities, to enjoy the sport of Archery. We promote the sport through club nights, "have a go" sessions at local schools, and at the local leisure centre. We have qualified instructors and a full range of equipment.. Archery is an ideal sport for encouraging young people into sport who perhaps do not engage with the usual team sports in schools, it also improves social and communication skills.

Our impact on the community

We have engaged with over 300 young people over the last two years, introducing them to the sport of Archery. In addition,40 adults have been given opportunities to try the sport and many have joined the club. Many others have attended 'Have a Go" sessions and the club will be promoting the sport at PCC's Disability Sports Day at the end of June.
