We help people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to find safe, affordable accommodation.
CHA operates all activities in such a way that they reflect the following fundamental beliefs: 1/ Our Society is structured in ways which can lead to serious disadvantage, 2/ Everyone is entitled to respect and equal treatment 3/ Everyone is entitled to the highest possible standard of service 4/ People have the right to comment on and influence services offered to them
Why the community needs usWe currently: A/ Provide emergency accommodation to young people with nowhere safe to stay B/ Provide benefit & debt advice to people at risk of homelessness C/ Ensure that patients are not discharged from hospital in Exeter as homeless, and D/ Support offenders to find affordable accommodation & resolve their debts; which in turn helps reduce the likelihood of re-offending.
Our impact on the communityIn the past 12 months, we have: 1/ Provided 458 nights of emergency accommodation to 98 young people, 2/ Supported 199 offenders to find suitable, affordable accommodation, 3/ Prevented 98 people from being discharged from hospital as homeless.
