Since 1965 Corrymeela provides opportunities for living well and healing of social, religious and political divisions in a fractured world. Corrymeela offers open, safe and inclusive spaces for dialogue, which moves society towards social justice, positive relationships and respect for diversity. Corrymeela makes a world of difference to people in Northern Ireland and across the world through its work with Families, Communities, Volunteers, Faith Communities and Children & Young People.
Why the community needs usCorrymeela delivers programmes in schools and communities in partnership with diverse organisations. We host 10,000 people at Corrymeela's Residential Centre in Ballycastle and work throughout local and global neighbourhoods to advance peace and well being. Corrymeela benefits the community though respite, support, training and exposure to other communities and traditions in a safe and nurturing environment. It has built a good reputation in investing in people of all ages and all backgrounds
Our impact on the communityCorrymeela's residential programmes reach out to 10,000 people per annum who benefit from bespoke programmes themed for youth, faith communities, community groups, children, schools and volunteering ; its volunteer programme reaches out to almost 400 people per annum who gain from training initiatives and applied learning; Corrymeela attracts nearly 200 families to its Summer programme which offers respite breaks to families in need; Over 50 years Corrymeela has a global network of Friends.
Corrymeela needs volunteers to help out with catering for small and large groups; volunteers to help out with managing group overnight stays through hospitality and housekeeping and aslo needs volunteers to help with their other skills in projects
