To run a community-based organisation offering support to women, children and young people who have or are experiencing violence/abuse in any form. This can be current violence which means you need to leave your home or historic abuse, the effects of which have remained with you and are affecting your life today. We can help with complex issues through our counselling service

We have two bases in Aviemore and Nairn where we can meet safely in a comfortable environment. We can also take the support to you, at your home or another safe place as we know living in remote and rural areas, means transport can be rare and expensive. We will get round these difficulties for you, so that where you live does not prevent you getting help. Our service is free and will last as long as you need it.

We have worked with 50 families on average for the past 6 years and this means we have helped over one thousand people in our area. We have seen women go from living in fear, afraid to go out, existing on benefits to working and supporting their families themselves. We have also seen changes in behaviours resulting in breaking the cycle of abuse. We have helped resolve long term issues due to childhood abuse and violence which have affected adult lives.
