Milton Keynes | Community Support & Development
The aim of the Crosslinks Centre is to regenerate and sustain the local community in one of the most disadvantaged areas of Milton Keynes by providing person-centric support across the whole community, irrespective of age, social and economic circumstances, and ethnic background. Run on Christian principles, its aim is to provide individuals with relief from isolation and poverty, and to help those who through poverty or infirmity have a limited ability to help themselves.
Why the community needs usTo promote a community spirit we run a number of clubs for those who might otherwise feel isolated. We run a Mums & Tots group that provides mums with company and support. For the elderly we run a Lunch Club and a social club,Tuesday Club. We run a Youth Club for youngsters with learning difficulties, and a monthly Physically Disabled Club. For people in poverty we provide free emergency food parcels with MK Foodbank.
Our impact on the communityIn 2018, more than 130 people benefitted from the personal contact and friendly support in the clubs we manage.
