We are a membership organisation providing leadership and support to groups, residents and communiti

We support Croydon residents to develop their ideas into community initiatives and develop and expand local charities. We provide funding support, training and information to voluntary sector groups and social enterprises. We run the local Volunteer Centre and help residents to volunteer. And we run an ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) project with residents in their neighbourhoods, connecting them with local people/assets and helping them to start community projects at local level.

Why the community needs us

We would love you to support our direct work with residents! You can allow an isolated person to volunteer by helping us to cover travel expenses, lunch and the cost of inducting them in their chosen role (read more at https://www.cvalive.org.uk/volunteering). Or you can allow an active resident to start their own community project in their local neighbourhood by providing them with seed funds through our ABCD programme, whether it's footballs or refreshments or attending a Safeguarding course!

Our impact on the community

In the last year we have trained over 100 people from the community in Safeguarding Children. We've provided one to one advice sessions about finding the right volunteer role to over 1300 people. We've run over 15 free workshops about how to set up a charity and how to raise money for your cause.
