Established in 1971 to combat the social isolation of Deptford pensioners, DAGE today offers a week-day pop-in centre for friendship, advice and information, signposting and volunteering opportunities, including in DAGE's furniture re-use project.

DAGE acts an extended family to many otherwise single pensioners without close family, friends, and neighbours. It lifts their spirits, offering a setting for making friends and serving as a bridge to accessing local services, benefits and support.

DAGE literally gives older people life - a reason to get up in the morning to enjoy friendship over refreshments. DAGE pensioners are mentally and physically stimluated through taking part in DAGE's weekday pop-in, and on going outings/cabarets.
