North Northamptonshire | Housing / Homelessness
Supporting people across North Northamptonshire affected by homelessness, poverty and social exclusion to build healthier, more independent futures.
Daylight Centre Fellowship (DCF) has been part of the Wellingborough community since 1994, supporting adults affected by homelessness, poverty and social exclusion. Our mission is to support people towards healthier, more independent and purposeful futures. Across our Community Hub, Foodbank and Veggie Patch, we provide practical support alongside opportunities to build confidence, improve wellbeing, develop skills and reconnect with the community. Our approach is relational, strengths-based and trauma-informed. We recognise that homelessness and poverty are rarely caused by one issue alone, so we work alongside the whole person rather than simply responding to immediate crisis.
People come to DCF for many reasons, including homelessness, food poverty, poor health, financial hardship, loneliness and social isolation. Our open access services provide food, hot meals, showers, laundry and clothing, alongside one-to-one support with housing, health, finances and other challenges. We also work closely with specialist partners, bringing services into our Community Hub so people can access support in a place they already know and trust. Through volunteering, activities and our Veggie Patch, people can build confidence, relationships, skills and a renewed sense of purpose.
Each year, hundreds of local people access DCF and make thousands of visits to our services. Our impact goes beyond meeting immediate need. We support people to move towards safe accommodation, greater stability, improved wellbeing and stronger connections within their community. For some, progress starts with a hot meal and somewhere safe to be. For others, it may mean securing accommodation, improving their health, volunteering or rebuilding confidence.
Every donation helps us keep our doors open and continue providing both immediate support and opportunities for lasting change.
