Deaf Direct is a Deaf led organisation offering a range of services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing children, adults and their families/carers. We work to empower Deaf and Hard of Hearing children and adults to enable them to live their lives without barriers and to fully participate in the directions of their choice within the community. Deaf Direct provides free impartial information and support on any issues connected to deafness.

Deafness can be an extremely isolating disability and is often "hidden" from friends and family, and all too often leads to depression or mental health issues. Deaf Direct works to break down the barriers and ensure that the person can reach their full potential, enabling them to access information and advice, providing an Outreach Worker to help them participate in social activities and ensuring deaf children build their own peer group.
