DCCA initially formed in 2010 to convert the building formerly known as Dean Court Social Club into a new Centre for the community. However, plans received a devastating setback in 2011, when an arson attack partially burned the building down. Undaunted, the project restarted and completed building work in early 2014. We are now running a Community Centre to help the local community flourish!

We offer a meeting place for the community; a venue for parties, clubs and gatherings, as well as putting on events ourselves. Our monthly Community Breakfasts are proving very popular alongside other one off events such as Carol singing. We hope in the future to help start other community ventures such as a film club or a babysitting training course.

We are proud to announce that we recently became the 8th Eco-centre in the country, promoting low energy, reduced waste and healthy living. We plan to continue the good work for the foreseeable future!
