Why the community needs usDestiny Support has been involved in delivering services to the community for over 5 years now. Its core service enables people in the community to access services they would not normally know how to access. Our ability to provide a discreet, confidential service raises our reputation in Slough area. We receive many recommendations which allows us to recruit volunteers to support us in achieving our objectives. In the last year, we have a total of 25 volunteers and sessional staff.
Our impact on the communityOver 1200 clients have benefited from our service so far. Outcomes range from support and help with finding accommodation, claiming benefits, finding voluntary work, 1:1 individual support, IT basic courses & health care training for people looking to work in health care. Destiny Support also helps families with finding schools for their children, applying for a bus pass for the children, managing their finances, form filling & mediation services.
We are delighted to offer the chance to come and volunteer for us. We have opportunities in Support Work, Database/Admin, Bookkeeper and IT support. The Support work would include supporting clients with multiple needs,.
