EDUCATION, SUPPORT & INFO: Relationships & Sex, Sexual Health, HIV, Sexual Identity, Online Safety
At Dhiverse we're all about inclusivity and equality and we want everyone to have the opportunity to be equipped to make informed decisions around relationships & sex, sexual health, sexual identity, consensual and pleasurable sexual activity, HIV status and online safety. We believe it's important for all young people, and people of all ages, to be offered relationships and sex education, information and support in ways that reflect how they prefer to learn and to receive it so that they are equipped with the skills, knowledge and information they need to navigate and make decisions around relationships and sex in the 21st century.
Why the community needs usSexual ill-health, unhealthy relationships or confusion around our sexual identity can affect other aspects of our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Talking about sex, relationships, sexual health and sexual identity can, for some people, be awkward, embarrassing and sometimes scary. We help people to feel equipped and confident to talk about these things so they can get the education, support or information they need to make decisions.
Our impact on the communityWe educate and support around 8000 young people and over 1000 adults a year. We provide bespoke programmes designed to support people with a learning disability or autism; young people who have offended or are displaying risky behaviours; anyone living with or affected by HIV and parents and guardians who need help to support their children around sex and relationships
