Elderly Asian Forum (EAF) empowers older people & carers to have their voices heard by highlighting opportunities & support for older people & carers to get involved in local organisations, forums, services etc. Elderly Asian Forum works to tackle barriers to engagement & helps to improve older peoples representation in working groups, forums, etc that shape local services for older people & their carers.

Elderly Asian Forum believes there is a need for closer partnership work between voluntary sector and public sector agencies seeking to engage with, and enable a stronger voice for, Asian Elders.

In August of 2009 /10 Elderly Asian Forum (EAF) took part in Calderdale Councils Adult Health & Social Care Consultation around Needs of South Asian Elders. We also, bring people together, help people to identify the problems and needs which they share and respond to these, promote knowledge, skills, confidence and the capacity to act together, and strengthen organisation and leadership within communities
