Our aim is to protect & enhance the life chances of adults with Learning disabilities.

The charity was founded by the parents of people with learning disabilities, almost 50 years ago, with the aim to protect and enhance the rights and life chances of children and adults with learning disabilities in Eastleigh and in Romsey, and to support their carers to continue caring.

Why the community needs us
We are a local independent charity running a number of activities in the region aimed at supporting people with learning disabilities who live with their families, in supported housing or independently. Our current projects include:The Chill Out Club, Active Citizens, Gardening Club, Flagship Art Club and Basketball Club (Eastleigh Hot Shots). Our impact on the community
Through these projects we are able to offer people with LD opportunities to socialise, be safe, be active and to have a voice about issues affecting them.

Volunteers needed

Whether you have just a few hours a month to spare, or you are looking for a volunteering role that you can really get your teeth into, we will have a role to offer to you! We are looking for volunteers to support us with our clubs, as well as with helping us to run the society. Get in touch - we'd love to hear from you!
