Why the community needs us
We provide a safe place to go for the independent over 60's whilst still providing a home from home atmosphere. We have a wonderful group of dedicated volunteers who help the 3 staff and 8 trustees with all aspects of running Elizabeth House. COVID-19 showed that many elderly residents and their families are accessing Elizabeth House for the help that we can provide them and the role we play in the Community.
Our impact on the community
We currently have up to 25 lunch members per day. We like to ensure that we have good connections with service providers and other agencies who will benefit our members and volunteers, including other charities, Optalis for the RBWM, commercial companies and sole traders. We were one of the first day centres to open in Berkshire and the positive impact this has had on the members is clear to see around Cookham and Maidenhead.
