ENRYCH Berkshire provides opportunities for local diabled people to take up leisure and learning activities of their own choice and which they would otherwise be unable to pursue. The aims are to improve quality of life, to reduce social isolation and to support integration into mainstream society.
Why the community needs usThe scheme will offer local disabled people opportunities to take up and enjoy leisure, educational and sporting activities of their own choice and which they would otherwise be unable to pursue. The activities an individual can engage with are virtually limitless: they include swimming, computer studies, painting, reading, angling, golf, riding, gym, bowls, gardening, arts and crafts, creative writing, playing musical instruments and watching football.
Our impact on the communityA positive outlook has a tremendous impact on their family and friends, easing the pressure as the people they care for gain renewed hope and belief in themselves.'Participation in ENRYCH has enabled me to regain my confidence and purpose in life'
