We serve the hearing-impaired population of East Sussex from our base in Eastbourne. We also provide services county-wide, through volunteer-led outreach work,serving a population of 515,000 of which an estimated 1 in 7 have some degree of hearing impairment. We provide support, help, advice and training as well as information on assistive devices such as loop systems & smoke alarms to the deaf community.

Through the efforts of a small team of staff and a county-wide network of volunteers, we enable our beneficiaries to live independently,helping to put an end to their isolation and to enable them to lead full and integrated lifes.We reach many of our beneficiaries through our Mobile Advisory Service, a converted bus that regularly visits some 30 small isolated rural communities which are hampered by a notoriously poor public transport infrastructure.
