Formed in 1986 as a volunteer lifeguard club, we patrol Exmouth seafront on Sundays and bank holidays throughout the summer, May to September. We provide training in water safety and rescue throughout the year for our junior and senior. members. We are a friendly club that trains Tuesday evenings and Sundays. We also offer lifeguards and inshore rescue boat support for community, regional and national events such as the Blenheim and London triathlons as well as long distance open water swims.

Why the community needs us

We provide a totally voluntary Lifeguard service on Exmouth Beach from 10:00 - 18:00 every Sunday and bank holiday throughout the summer from May - September and train towards this aim throughout the whole year.

Our impact on the community

To date the club has trained over 100 Beach Lifeguards and many more in water safety. The club deals with over 250 incidents each year ranging from Resuscitation, First aid, lost persons, and preventative actions. approximately 1000 personal hours are spent by our members each year providing this service on the beach.
