To expand the horizons, life skills and wider educational experience of the pupils of Batchwood School, past and present, in order that they are better placed to make a positive contribution both to society and their local community. Some of the pupils at Batchwood School could be described as being dealt an 'unfortunate hand' and have not been given the same life chances as other young people. The charity is used to promote and fund a wide range of extra curricular activities.

Why the community needs us

All children attending Batchwood School have a Statement of Educational Need for Emotional, Behavioural and Social Difficulties. Through the work of the charity, pupils are able to access a wider range of educational and social experiences that many of us take for granted. Through these experiences, the pupils learn skills that enable them to be positive members of their local and wider community. It enables pupils to reflect and be in a postive place to make the right choices.

Our impact on the community

The charity was established to support the school in its endeavour to encourage and develop pupils' confidence, self-esteem, personal and interpersonal skills. The charity achieves this through providing opportunities for the children to develop these skills in relaxed, exciting and fun settings (trips, outings, social events). As a result the pupils, along with their families and school benefit from the increased confidence and positive behaviours.
