Why the Community Needs POINT

At POINT, we believe every young person deserves a fair start in life. That’s why, for over 24 years, we’ve supported young people aged 10–25 across North Pembrokeshire, especially those facing disadvantage, isolation, or complex challenges.

We provide a safe, inclusive space where young people can build confidence, learn life skills, and access the help they need to thrive. From Drop in sessions and accredited training to support, in house activities, adventure activities and healthy living initiatives, everything we do is designed to meet young people where they are and help them move forward.

Our qualified Youth Workers are passionate professionals who support young people through the transition from childhood to adulthood, including continued support beyond age 18, something many services do not provide. We’re open five days a week, 50 weeks of the year, and we’re proud to be the only charitable youth service of this kind in our area.

Our Impact

Based in Fishguard, POINT supports over 300 active members and is deeply rooted in the local community. Our trusted drop-in centre is recognised as a vital resource, offering informal, accessible support where it’s needed most.

We don’t just run programmes, we build relationships. Many of our staff live locally, strengthening our connection to the young people and communities we serve.

By providing accredited training, real-life skills, emotional support and access to adventure activities, we empower young people to overcome barriers and realise their potential.
