Fleet Arts is a Derbyshire based charity & resource Centre which focuses its work in the districts of Amber Valley, Erewash & Derbyshire Dales. Our Turn it Up music project develops work with young people across Derbyshire, including Derby City. We aim to widen participation & access to the arts whilst meeting diverse community needs. We do this by acting as an advocate for participation in the arts; by stimulating creative expectations & by using the arts as an agent for change & empowerment.

Giving people of all ages, who do not normally get involved in the arts, a chance to take part and gain skills, knowledge and confidence in many art-forms. By targeting disadvantaged and socially isolated groups, individuals and communities where they are based, we are able to make it easier for people to get involved.

Making sure that the Fleet Arts base, which offers spaces for community use including a rehearsal room for bands, can continue to run smoothly, be affordable and is safe for the hundreds of individuals who currently make use of it. Our arts projects help us to contribute to the regeneration of our communities by providing positive activities,training, work experience and employment for local people.
