Fletcher Moss rangers soccer school is part of the main club which is an FA charter standard community football club. the soccer school is a Saturday morning community event for girls and boys aged from 3-11 years old. We also run girls only 'Wildcats' sessions at the Saturday morning sessions. The soccer school isn't interested in making great footballers (although if any should be identified we have an avenue we can direct them) we are more interested in providing a safe fun environment for children and parents.
Why the community needs us
Provide outdoor safe football fun for children and parents. If any parent feels they would like to join in and become qualified as a football coach, we will help facilitate that wish. These parents feel truly part of the community. Many of the children who play in our teams are from deprived areas and have siblings attending also. This could be of great expense to many parents who want their children to participate in the soccer school or a team. Our hardship fund helps these kids play football.
Our impact on the community
Children from all backgrounds and ethnicity are able to socialise equally with others. Many children go on to join teams in the club. Many parents take on a group of children to form a team. Many players have gone on to play professional football and have gone on to become football coaches at a very high level. Players, Wes Brown (also coaching now), Danny Welbeck, Marcus Rashford. We have had almost 100 children who are now with professional football clubs.
