Focus Surrey is a registered charity (1178378) that aims to help the children with autism develop their communication, play and social skills using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), an evidence-based teaching method. It is a parent-led initiative in partnership with ABA professionals. The benefits are three-fold. 1) The club provides social opportunities, for children who often don't get to join other clubs. Children learn key skills via professional, affordable ABA while they are learning to play with others. 2) Volunteer tutors receive practical training and work experience for students and professionals working with children. 3) Parents receive networking and information sharing opportunities and regular organised talks from professionals.
