We are a diverse and creative company of people with disabilities based in Leatherhead, Surrey. We work alongside directors, producers, composers, artists and writers, to co-create and produce engaging, thought-provoking, funny, joyous and highly entertaining theatre, dance, film, and music.
For over thirty years we’ve been a force for change and artistic excellence in the world of Disability Arts.
With locations across Surrey, we make theatre, dance, film, music and visual art that challenges perceptions and defies expectations.
Why the community needs us
We work with primary schools to give children a better understanding of disability, and with special schools to inspire and widen horizons. We take performances out into schools and community centres, making connections and widening social contacts. As members of Disability Arts in Surrey (DAiSY) we collaborate with community organisations across Surrey. We have many wonderful volunteers and are proud recipients of the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.
Our impact on the community
We offer a long-term, developing involvement in dance, drama, music and film-making, and opportunities for individuals to help with running the company and improving their life skills. People can gain experience with us that moves them on towards obtaining work, or they can make a bigger and bigger contribution to our evolving performance experience and widening portfolio of work. By working together on artistic activities, we find companionship & laughter, and change people's lives.
