The Friends Of South Croydon Rec is a Community Group that aims to preserve and improve the Park

The Friends of South Croydon Rec has the following aims:
1. Promote and enhance nature conservation and bio-diversity
2. Develop the play and leisure facilities
3. Encourage social inclusion, good health and wellbeing
4. Act as a forum to gather and promote the views of park users
5. Raise funds (through grants and donations) for our group aims

We are a constituted community group that has a management committee to oversee and deliver on the above aims.

Volunteers needed

We are always seeking local volunteers to join our committee, volunteer for events such as our regular litter picking mornings or planting events. Specifically we are currently seeking a friends group lead for our Litter Pick mornings. This role will be the lead point of contact with the council to arrange litter pick events and advertise to the local community and volunteer base to attend. We are also seeking a new treasurer for the group.
